Santa Margarita Ranch is full of classic Central Coast scenery, with rolling grassy hills, wide open cow pastures, and oak-line arroyos winding throughout the venue. While it might not appear mountainous and technical at first glance, the hills here are deceptively steep and long, your footing will often be unsure, and whatever rhythm you find is sure to be broken by the constantly changing terrain.
Make sure to stick around after the race to sample some of the local wine made from grapes grown right on the course!
FAQ
Event’s frequently asked questions and important information.
Results will be determined based on gun time, so the order in which racers cross the finish line will be the order in which they are listed in the results, regardless of when they cross the start line timing mat. Racers who start late, whether due to late arrival or starting at the back of a large pack, will thus likely see a difference between their official time and the time on their watch. Racers who intend to compete for overall or age group prizes are encouraged to start near the front of the pack to avoid delays.
