If you are familiar with Obstacle Course Racing events, our Shared trail races live together with a Spartan festival Weekend adding one more challenge to be raced if you’re an avid Spartan racer. A great intro to your trail running journey if you’re coming from the OCR world, or an awesome chance to try your first Obstacle race if you’re a trail runner.

THE EVENT

Oak Ridge Farm is home to miles of beautiful rolling trails through open farmland and dense forest. With plenty of short climbs and tough terrain underfoot, this course is surprisingly tough, and will favor technical runners.

Racers can expect to run through a pumpkin patch and a cornfield, but also to visit a spooky graveyard deep in the woods, perfect for Halloween weekend!

Arrival & heat times

Please plan to arrive 90 minutes before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your registration packet, drop your stuff at bag check, and get warmed up.

Registration typically opens at 6:30am. Waves of 250 racers will be released every 15 minutes.

YOUR exact start time is listed on your barcode and will be posted in your Spartan Account approximately 10 days prior to the event date.

Towel, waterproof bag, & extra (dry) clothes/shoes
Sunscreen & hydration
Headlamps are recommended for later start times
We recommend wearing performance gear (compression bottoms and breathable tops)
Comfortable shoes that you’ve trained in, but are OK to get dirty. Get an OCR-tested shoe and gear up for race day in the Spartan Shop.
